Bringing together decades of financial markets experience, industry leader Kevin Foley, Founder and CEO, is at the helm of AQUA’s day to day business.

Kevin Foley, Aqua’s President and CEO, is an innovator and industry leader in trading technology within the financial markets.


Prior to AQUA, Mr. Foley spent fifteen years at Bloomberg LP where he held various senior management roles.  He was integral to Bloomberg’s transformation into a financial information powerhouse.


While at Bloomberg, Mr. Foley founded Bloomberg Tradebook, a global institutional agency brokerage and one of the four original “ECNs” regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Tradebook pioneered new and creative ways for institutions to find liquidity for their large orders and partnered with their clients to help them access new sources of small order liquidity to reduce trade costs. During this time, he oversaw electronic multi-asset class trading globally.


Mr. Foley began his Wall Street career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York, where he traded U.S. government securities. Prior to founding Aqua he also spent several years as President of eSpeed, the pioneer in electronic bond trading.


Mr. Foley holds a BA from Haverford College and a MBA from Columbia University. He is married to Donna Silbert, they have two children, Bennett and Claire, and reside in New York City.
